Tuition for young children and students

Tuition and Support

Coast Education  provides specialist tuition to students diagnosed with, or suspected of having, a specific learning difficulty. Usually, tuition is only offered to students  if: 

I have carried out a full diagnostic  assessment OR

  • You are able to provided a full diagnostic assessment AND

  • You request tuition or support AND 

  • Based upon scores,  observations and curriculum demands, they require urgent intervention. 

  • Specialist Tuition is delivered by  Denise Hawkes via Zoom. (25 years teaching experience, specialist teacher, Patoss, British Dyslexia Association)

 

However, at the present time, due to Covid-19, I am accepting students with suspected Specific Learning Difficulties, providing there is a history of need. It could be, for example, that they failed the phonics test,  have extra support at school  or may be struggling with their studies.

Specialist Tuition is £22.50 for 30 minutes. 

Students of secondary school age can have a split session (30 minutes face-to-face, 30 minutes independent work and 30 minutes face-to-face for £45).

Resources (to keep) and reward stickers are sent via post once a week. 

  • Research shows that approximately 10% of the population have dyslexia to some degree. It can range from mild to severe.
